A Tour for Women

Note: the last covered hotel night is the last day, so the last day is your departure date. Breakfast is included on that day, then you are off on your own. This is a 10 night tour.

Come with me on a beautiful, rich and relaxed experience of Scotland through history, connection, music and nature. This tour will be a combination of some must-see sites as well as out of the way treasures; tales of the women who have called Scotland home, persecutions and triumphs and a glimpse into the mirror of our own experiences. The final itinerary will be sent a month before travel, but here's a first draft of our travels….

Itinerary

June 20-30, 2027

1 night in Edinburgh - June 20

We begin our journey with a night in Edinburgh to rest a bit from the flights over.

3 Nights in Argyl & Bute - June 21, 22, 23

Next, we head west to Dunoon, a scenic resort town on the beautiful Cowal Peninsula. Dunoon was once a Victorian destination with a "promenade" walk along the beach. It's only a bit quieter these days but is filled with fascinating history, craft shops and galleries, restaurants and friendly people. It's also a perfect base for exploring the area. We will take the most magical walk through one of my favorite places, Puck's Glen and visit gardens and castles and museums while also meeting local friends and musicians.

3 nights in Dunkeld - June 24, 25, 26

Dunkeld is a tour favorite stop with lovely village, ties to Macbeth and Beatrix Potter. We'll spend time in Nature, host a storyteller, enjoy a private concert and hear tales of the witch hysteria and the pioneering spirit of Scottish women through the ages. This is a culture rich area and you'll experience it all.

3 nights in Montrose - June 27, 28

Next we cross to the east coast. Montrose is where Steve and I now have a house and I would love to share this area with you! We'll take a gorgeous beach walk and visit a castle, learn the history of this area and meander the widest high street in Scotland. We'll also have a wine & cheese gathering at our house!

Final night back in Edinburgh - June 29

Leaving Montrose, we will meander our way back toward Edinburgh, with a lovely stop for lunch and a surprise or two. Back at Radisson Blu, we'll gather for a farewell dinner and toast to friendships made and strengthened.

June 30 - depart, flights home or onward journeys

Did you know?

Our tours are different than most. We follow a model of Regenerative Tourism, meaning we strive to leave a place better than we found it. Tours are carefully curated to support Scottish communities and be mindful of areas that are overtouristed. You will be seeing Scotland with local guides and friends who show up to share music and stories. You will not be seeing this enchanting land through a coach window with quick stops. We take our time and a portion of every tour goes back to conservation efforts in the areas we visit. Thanks for supporting small businesses and community efforts around Scotland!
