Step out the doors and find yourself immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of this charming Scottish town. Our central location makes it easy to explore Perth's rich history, stunning architecture, and delightful shops. But the adventure doesn’t stop there! With excellent public transport links at your doorstep, venturing further afield to discover the breathtaking landscapes and attractions of the surrounding areas is a breeze. Whether you’re looking to explore nature, history, or local culture, our hotel serves as the perfect launchpad for a fantastic day taken at your own pace.

Day 3. Inverness After a hearty Scottish breakfast, we begin our drive through the stunning and scenic Cairngorm National Park, Britain's largest mountain range. We pause in Inverness en route, where we spend lunchtime at leisure. From here, we make our way to our home for the next two nights, on the north coast.

Day 4. Caithness & John o' Groats: Today we explore Caithness, calling at the North Coast Visitor Centre in Thurso before continuing along the stunning coastline to the most northerly point of the mainland, John o' Groats, a famous start or finish point for cyclists and walkers making the great journey to or from Land's End. We can explore the village and admire the beautiful scenery, surrounding coast and wildlife before returning to our hotel.

Day 5. Orkney Isles:  After a leisurely breakfast we journey to Scrabster and board the lunchtime ferry to Orkney. On arrival, we meet our local guide who will be with us throughout our step-on tour of the island. No trip to Orkney would be complete without a visit to the mystical ancient settlement of Skara Brae, uncovered by a storm in 1850. This ancient settlement is older than Stonehenge and the amazingly preserved rooms provide us with a unique insight into prehistoric human living. We then head to the mystical Ring of Brodgar to view the standing stones, reminiscent of those at Stonehenge and Avebury and constructed around 2500 - 2000 BC. After, we travel past the Churchill Barriers, the construction of which was ordered by Winston Churchill after the tragic torpedoing of

the battleship Royal Oak in Scapa Flow during 1939, then we'll visit the Italian Chapel, 'the miracle of camp 60', which was built by Italian prisoners during WWII. We finish in Kirkwall, where we enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, before boarding our overnight ferry to the Shetland Islands.

Day 6. Shetland Isles: After breakfast on board, we arrive in Lerwick and meet our step-on guide for the day. We visit a local jewellery workshop and then see some Shetland Ponies before heading back to Lerwick to visit the Shetland Museum & Archives. After spending lunchtime at leisure, we head to the fertile limestone community of Fladdabister, and the world's best preserved 2,000-year-old Iron Age Broch, on the Island of Mousa. Finally, we travel through 5,000 years of Shetland history at Jarlshof, one of Europe's biggest and most complex archaeological sites, ranging from the Neolithic Age up to the 1600s. Later this afternoon, we board our overnight ferry where dinner is served on board.

Day 7. After disembarking the ferry, immerse yourself in the vibrant charm of Aberdeen. Enjoy a delightful morning filled with the opportunity to explore and shop amidst the city's bustling streets, historic landmarks, and picturesque waterfront. Following your adventure in Aberdeen, we’ll continue our journey to the picturesque coastal town of Montrose, where you will settle into our welcoming hotel for the next two nights.

Day 8. The charming town of Montrose, where a day of relaxation and exploration awaits you. Stroll along the picturesque coastline, breathe in the fresh sea air, and take in the stunning views of the Angus coastline. Discover delightful boutiques, local cafes, and historic sites that reflect Montrose’s rich heritage. Whether you choose to enjoy a leisurely walk on the sandy beaches, visit the tranquil Montrose Basin, or indulge in the local culinary delights, every moment here is an opportunity to unwind and savour the beauty of Scotland. Make the most of your day in Montrose and create unforgettable memories in this hidden gem!

Day 9. Before we bid you farewell, embark on a memorable exploration of St. Andrews and the breathtaking Fife coastline. Discover the historic charm of St. Andrews, where you'll find stunning beaches, renowned golf courses, and rich cultural heritage. Stroll through picturesque streets lined with quaint shops and indulge in local delicacies. As we make our way along the scenic Fife coastline, prepare to be captivated by awe-inspiring views, rugged cliffs, and tranquil harbor towns. This is the perfect opportunity to soak in the beauty of Scotland's landscapes before we drop you off in Edinburgh, the city where your incredible journey began.
