Each Signature Route is a complete week in one corner of Scotland, written the way I'd tell it to you over a dram. They open with a letter and a story. You'll meet a Keeper, one of the people who make that place what it is, and you'll take home a little piece of the place itself: a Gaelic word, a tune, a legend. Then comes the route: day by day, where to stay, where to eat, which ferry to catch, which cafe opens earliest, and which ginger cat at Dunollie might escort you up to the castle if you're lucky.
