This exclusive tour is designed especially for folk music lovers from around the world, those who don’t just listen to the music, but feel it in their bones. Over 10 unforgettable days, you'll travel from the vibrant cultural heart of Glasgow, along the wild Atlantic edge to the ancient port of Oban, and on through the Great Glen to Inverness - the musical and cultural heartland of the Highlands.

Bruce is one of Scotland's best-known and best-loved musical figures — a virtuoso fiddle player, long-time presenter of BBC Radio Scotland's Travelling Folk, and, with his wife Jo, the proud owner of MacGregor's Bars in both Oban and Inverness. He knows every back road, every story, and every session in the Highlands. With Bruce as your guide, you're not a tourist but a welcome guest in his world.

Included in the journey:

Fly into Glasgow and settle into three nights in one of Britain's most vibrant, musical cities. Your first cultural port of call is The National Piping Centre, an extraordinary museum, performance venue, and living home of the Great Highland Bagpipe, where expert guides bring centuries of tradition to life. We'll take in the breathtaking Burrell Collection, Sir William Burrell's magnificent gift to the city, housed in its stunning Pollock Park gallery. With two full days to explore, there's also time for Glasgow's famous music scene, its legendary West End, and its warm, no-nonsense hospitality. Evenings bring the first of many relaxed music sessions; a taste of what lies ahead.

Next, we'll travel west to Oban, the "Gateway to the Isles," where sea air and sweeping bay views set the scene. Three nights here give you time to breathe deeply into the Highland pace. A highlight not to be missed: an evening at the West Highland Brewery for a private gig and guided beer tasting; craft ales inspired by the land and waters of Argyll, paired with live music in the brewhouse itself. Evenings are warmly anchored at MacGregor's Bar in Oban, Bruce's own celebrated venue, where the sessions are lively, the craic is great. You'll also have a day to choose a ferry ride to one of several nearby islands.

Travel northeast through some of Scotland's most spectacular scenery to Inverness, the Highland capital. Three nights here open up a wealth of music, history, and landscape. Days bring excursions through the surrounding glens like Loch Ness, Culloden Moor, and the Black Isle, while evenings draw you back to MacGregor's Bar, Scotland's favourite haunt for traditional music, where Bruce himself is likely to join the session. 

We'll travel back to Glasgow for our final night and group dinner.

Note: We stay 3 nights in each location for a chance to more deeply connect with the places and people. Coach time is limited to short distances for daily excursions.
