Barnet is a Canadian film-maker, author and educator who guides people of all ages and walks of life to expand their vision of what is possible and develop their gifts and talents with passion through his creativity workshops. He's a faculty member of Columbia University, Spirituality Mind Body Institute, and Esalen Institute.

Select film credits include Milton’s Secret (director, writer), Oscar-winner What Dreams May Come (producer), Emmy-Award nominee, Outstanding TV Movie, Homeless to Harvard (executive producer), and The Celestine Prophecy (writer, producer). Barnet's books include The Book of Doing and Being: Rediscovering Creativity in Life, Love and Work, (Atria, 2015) and The Third Story: Awakening the Love That Transforms, (Spindrift, 2013) and How to be a Friend (in an unfriendly world), (John Wiley & Sons, 2025).

Itinerary

September 27 - October 7, 2027

Included in the itinerary will be space for transformational group workshops with Barnet.

Days 1–3 — Edinburgh Arrive into Scotland's gothic capital and settle in at the Radisson Blu Hotel, our home base in the City Centre. The evening of your arrival, join us for a meet and greet before we begin exploring one of Europe's most atmospheric cities. Over the next few days, wander the storybook closes and wynds of the Old Town, stroll the length of the Royal Mile, and take in world-class museums and ancient monuments. A day trip to nearby Rosslyn Chapel and Glen adds a touch of mystery to the mix. To cap our time in the city, we'll gather for a group dinner and private concert at the hotel.

Days 4–6 — Glencoe We head north into Glencoe, one of Scotland's most dramatic and haunting landscapes. This wild, sparsely populated valley has served as a backdrop for Skyfall, Braveheart, Harry Potter, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail — and it's easy to see why. We'll take scenic nature walks, hear stories around the fire, and learn the area's rich and often turbulent history from a local guide. A group dinner with live Scottish music rounds out our evenings here.

Days 7–9 — Dunoon Next, we travel to Dunoon on the Firth of Clyde — a charming Victorian resort town built around a historic castle mound, with a grand pier, lovely waterfront shops, and an easy ferry connection. Day trips take us to the enchanting woodland ravine of Puck's Glen and the grand Inveraray Castle and Gardens. As always, a group dinner and concert are planned.

Day 10 — Farewell & Return to Edinburgh We make our way back to Edinburgh with a leisurely lunch stop in a scenic village along the route. The evening brings us back together one final time for a farewell dinner at the Radisson Blu and a chance to raise a glass and share our favorite moments.
