Whisky Tour of Scotland
Note this is a Sample Itinerary: Hotels and routes may change. You'll be emailed the final itinerary one month before departure, but even then we always leave space for the unexpected finds and last minute discoveries!
Come with us on an immersive journey through the history, culture, tastes and delights of Scotland's 'Water of Life'. Our tour will include select distilleries in the Lowlands (Fife area), Highlands & islands and Speyside.
Itinerary
April 13-23, 2027
Embark on an unforgettable adventure starting early on the 13th, so make sure you land in Scotland the day before, on the 12th. You'll have that evening on your own, but we'll send you a link to reserve a spot at our hotel, should you choose.
**Days 1-3:** Our expedition kicks off in Edinburgh as we head to the charming town of St. Andrews. Get ready for scenic coach rides that will whisk you away to quaint fishing villages, breathtaking beaches, and majestic castles. Along the way, we'll explore renowned distilleries such as Kingsbarns, Eden Mill, and Lindores Abbey.
**Days 4-6:** Next, we set our sights on Speyside and settle in Elgin for three nights. We’ll tour the prominent cask-making factory and visit some of the legendary Speyside distilleries like Macallen. Expect serene walks through enchanting ruins and a visit to the lovely cashmere mill.
**Days 7-9:** Our path then leads us to Broadford for another three-night stay, with possible stops at distilleries like Tomatin or Glen Ord. This stunning region is rich in history, featuring beautiful beaches, scenic trails, and ancient castles. Plus, we’ll dedicate a day to the Isle of Skye, where we’ll visit Talisker and soak in the incredible landscapes.
**Day 10:** We’ll wrap up our adventure back in Edinburgh for a final evening. Join us for a group dinner to celebrate our experiences together, as we raise our glasses to the unforgettable memories we've created on this journey.
You may schedule flights out at any time on the morning after our last dinner, which will be the 23rd.
Did you know?
Our tours are different than most. We follow a model of Regenerative Tourism, meaning we strive to leave a place better than we found it. Tours are carefully curated to support Scottish communities and be mindful of areas that are overtouristed. You will be seeing Scotland with local guides and friends who show up to share music and stories. You will not be seeing this enchanting land through a coach window with quick stops. We take our time and a portion of every tour goes back to conservation efforts in the areas we visit. Thanks for supporting small businesses and community efforts around Scotland!
