Join historian James Barrowman, PhD and Raven Sinclaire, for a journey of romance and tragedy, adventure and triumph! This is a brand new tour. A more detailed itinerary is forthcoming.

Your tour includes stays in 4-star eco-friendly hotels when available, breakfast every day and 4 group dinners. We also understand that Scottish history is anything but simple and will provide you with a timeline unique to this tour to reference along the way.

Here's our tentative itinerary. The finalized tour may vary and will be emailed to all participants closer to time:

Fly into Edinburgh, rest for awhile or meander the Royal Mile before meeting for group cocktails and light bites. Our first three days and nights will be spent in Edinburgh, seeing the sights around the gothic capital city of Scotland, including a visit to Edinburgh Castle, Melrose Abbey, Inchcolm Abbey, Rosslyn Chapel and Glen, and more. We will take a ride to Stirling for a deep dive into the Battle of Stirling Bridge and a visit to Wallace Monument, Stirling Castle and the Bannockburn battlefield. While in Edinburgh, you'll have a chance to explore the Royal Mile, museums and historical monuments while enjoying sights, sounds and tastes that are sure to be memorable. Our home in Edinburgh will be the Radisson Blu Hotel in the City Centre.

Next, we travel to Dunkeld with an important stop in Dunfermline to visit the Abbey and Palace. Dunkeld is a charming village on the River Tay. Sit by the fire and you'll learn about the Battle of Dunkeld and other history and legends. We visit Dunkeld Cathedral and Blair Castle, Dunkeld Archives and hike the peaceful Birks of Aberfeldy.  In the evenings, we visit local pubs for authentic Scottish music.

Next, we travel to Glencoe, a stunning drive with several scenic stops and points of interest. You'll learn about the Battle of Glencoe and Glen Shiel and visit the iconic Glencoe Castle.

Next, we travel to Inverness, known as the ‘Highland Capital’, though it still retains its market town feel. We will visit ancient Clava Cairns, Urquhart Castle, and the tragic Culloden battle field. You'll have free time to stroll the river that runs through the city. We will host a world class musician for a private hotel concert and visit MacGregor's pub for more music. Our hotel home will be Lochardil House.
